Hi Waifu App Alternative: 300+ Anime Girls With Memory

Hi Waifu App vs GoLove.ai vs OurDream at a Glance

If you searched for the Hi Waifu app, you probably already know what you want: an anime girl who talks back. What matters is whether she remembers you tomorrow, and whether the picture she sends actually looks like her.

For that search, my pick is GoLove.ai. It has a separate category of 300+ anime AI girlfriends, memory with relationship progression, and in-chat photo requests that keep her face and body tied to her avatar. OurDream does win one row, the billing one near the bottom, and I'll give it that.

GoLove prices checked 2026-10, OurDream 2026-09; promos and regions vary. "Not confirmed" means we couldn't verify the feature, not that Hi Waifu lacks it.

You don't have to sign up to start a GoLove chat. Her first photo is already visible, so you can see her face and decide whether she's your type before you pay a cent.

Hi Waifu: what we could confirm

You'd expect a waifu app to pick up where you left off. With Hi Waifu, we couldn't confirm how much chat history it keeps or whether the relationship changes over time. If memory is the whole reason you're shopping (and for a lot of people it is), check their site before you sink weeks into a thread.

GoLove.ai: memory, sliders and reply help

On the basics, GoLove's spec delivers. Memory keeps your conversation history. Relationship Progression means things move forward the longer you talk to her, which is the part most companion apps skip. Chat Settings add a few more controls:

• Lust Level: five steps, from sweet to unfiltered.
• Response Length: five steps, from 1 (short and snappy) to 5 (rich and immersive).
• Reply help: the magic-wand button writes 3 suggested replies, and you can rate any of her replies 1–5 and regenerate it.

ULTRA adds an 8,000-message smart memory, and that's the tier to look at if you plan to keep one relationship going for months.

The screenshot shows a longer desktop thread, and she's still carrying the conversation many messages in.

Q: Can I make her less explicit? Yes. Set Lust Level to 1 for sweet and wholesome. Raise it toward 5 if you want her unfiltered. You can change it at any point in the chat.

Hi Waifu: visuals

We couldn't confirm whether Hi Waifu sends photos in chat, or whether those photos keep the same face from one to the next. Check their site.

GoLove.ai: same character from photo to clip

This is the feature I'd pick GoLove for. Open her chat, tap the media button, choose Send Photo, and describe the scene in your own words, whatever you'd like her to pose for. The photo arrives in about 20–45 seconds for 1 Star, and her face and body match her avatar and her earlier photos. If you want more, one tap on Generate Video under that photo turns the same scene into a ~5-second clip in about a minute, for 10 Stars.

1 Star = 1 image · 5 Stars = 1 video > 20 anime video modes · 15 anime picture poses

Don't let those two numbers confuse you. 5 Stars is the base video price, but the in-chat photo-to-video clip costs 10.

• Consistency: she still looks like her avatar from one photo to the next.
• Speed: a photo in under a minute, a clip in about one.

GoLove also makes Series: 18+ vertical short dramas that star its characters. "My AI Girlfriend" runs 7 episodes. Under the player you can start chatting with the cast or create images and videos of them, so the girl you just watched is one tap away. Episodes 1–2 of every series are free to watch, and later episodes need PRO and a few Stars each. You can watch the first two today, pick the character you liked, and start talking to her without committing to anything.

Hi Waifu: custom characters

We couldn't confirm how Hi Waifu's character builder works or how deep it goes. Check their site.

The short version: GoLove.ai puts live voice calls, memory and photos on request in one chat, and its image generator adds 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits. You also get 2 reward stars every day you log in.

GoLove.ai: Design with AI

I expected a long form full of sliders. The flow is shorter than that:

1. Tap Create.
2. Pick a category (Realistic, Anime or Trans), or choose Design with AI.
3. Describe her in plain text, up to 2,000 characters: her look, her personality and how she talks to you.
4. In about a minute you get a named character with her own @handle, a written bio and a portrait. The cost observed was roughly 3 Stars.

Once she exists, two details matter:

• Privacy: new characters are Private by default.
• My AI: if you make her public, she can earn you Stars as her creator.

OurDream has a custom builder too, to be fair, but its setup curve is steeper. If you'd rather write one paragraph about the girl you want than tune dozens of settings, GoLove's text-first approach is the easier start.

Hi Waifu and OurDream pricing

Hi Waifu's pricing changes, and we couldn't verify current plans, so check their site.

OurDream costs from about $19.99/month, or about $9.99/month on an annual plan. Images and video draw on DreamCoins, and Premium includes 1,000 per billing cycle. Chat, images and video are bundled into one subscription, which is simpler if you hate tracking a currency. That's a legit point in OurDream's favor.

GoLove.ai: PRO, ULTRA and Stars

• PRO: about $19.99/month, or about $119.88/year (~$9.99/month). It includes 100 Stars a month, all NSFW content, character creation, voice messages and calls, and unlimited Feed.
• ULTRA: about $59.99/month. It adds stronger AI models, the 8,000-message memory and a discount on Star refills.
• Star packs: from about $9.99 for 30 Stars up to $299.99 for 3,000.
• Free tier: 2 reward Stars a day, a limited daily Feed and Series episodes 1–2.

New users also see a limited-time −70% offer on their first subscription.

So what does PRO's monthly allowance actually buy? At 1 Star per image, 100 Stars is about 100 in-chat photos. Turning any of those into video costs more, so if clips are what you're after, budget for a Star pack.

Prices checked 2026-10; promos and regions vary.

Who GoLove.ai Is NOT For (and Should Stay With Hi Waifu)

GoLove isn't for everyone, and the cons below are real ones.

Where GoLove is strong

• Character photos that stay consistent with her avatar
• A separate anime category with 300+ girls
• Memory and relationship progression
• Series you can watch, then chat with the cast

Who should skip it

• Free-only users: if you want an unlimited free app, this isn't it. Free gets you 2 Stars a day, a limited Feed and Series episodes 1–2.
• App-store loyalists: we could not confirm a store listing. GoLove runs in the mobile browser, with a bottom nav of Explore, Chat, Create, Generate and Feed.
• AI boyfriend seekers: the characters are Female and Trans only. Male is marked "Soon."
• People who dislike paying a Star currency on top of a subscription. OurDream's bundled plan will suit you better, and I think that's GoLove's weakest spot.
• Anyone looking for a real human relationship. These are AI companions.

Here's the plain version. If Hi Waifu's waifu style already feels right and its plans work for you, you don't need to switch. Switching makes sense when memory or consistent photos are what you're missing.

Who Each One Is Actually For

Verdict in one line: for a waifu who remembers you and sends photos that actually look like her, GoLove.ai is the pick. > > Stay with Hi Waifu if its waifu style is what keeps you coming back and its current plans suit you (check their site). > > Pick OurDream if you want chat, images and video bundled into one subscription and you don't need a native app. > > Pick GoLove.ai for this search. Your waifu remembers you, sends consistent photos and short clips of herself when you ask, can be built from a text description, and stars in Series you can watch.

The screenshot shows the create wizard on mobile. It opens on the Realistic, Anime and Trans categories, with Design with AI beside them. If none of the 300+ anime girls is quite your type, describe the one you want and she'll be waiting for you, with a name and a portrait, in about a minute.
